( Bank Short Sale) In this case, the bank ‘may’ allow the owner to sell the home for less than the current mortgage balance. These transactions are typically lengthy and involve some uncertainty. The bank is the final decider of the sell price. If you have the patience, and a Realtor that knows how to negotiate, there may be a good deal to be had for both the buyer and the seller.
